Calorifiers are hot water storage tanks fitted with an internal heating coil, allowing them to connect to an external heat source such as a gas boiler or renewable system — including heat pumps, wood or pellet boilers. They provide reliable hot water storage across a wide range of applications, from small domestic dwellings to larger commercial buildings such as hotels, schools, leisure centres and public facilities.

Mibec supplies WRAS-approved calorifiers ranging from 200 to 5,000 litres, suitable for potable water storage. All units feature a sacrificial magnesium anode with an accessible test point for routine maintenance, available as an optional extra, and high-grade insulation that delivers low heat loss (thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK).
