Microflex Quadro

Pre-insulated pipe are generally used for either heating or hot water applications and tend to be separate products in their own right (often the carrier pipe sizes are different to suit the differing requirements of these two applications in the same property). Mibec are pleased to have recently launched Microflex Quadro – a four core pre-insulated pipe which can fulfil both heating and hot water requirements from a single pipe length. This product is ideal for projects that have an external heat source providing both heating (radiators etc) and hot water to one or more properties in the project. The single pipe format will save on material costs, excavation costs, save space (benefitting building connections), reduce the number of components on site and make the design process easier (simplifying drawings and planning).Microflex Quadro is available in a range of sizes with a choice of 25mm or 32mm heating carrier pipes and 20 / 25 / 32mm hot water pipes to suit common project requirements.

Pipe Details

Four core pre-insulated pipe suitable for transporting both heating water and hot water from central plant buildings or between out buildings and the main premises.

Flexible pre-insulated, self-compensating underground pipe comprising two heating pipes and two sanitary pipes. Designed for heating water (flow and return), and equipped with a sanitary hot water pipe and a pipe for the circulation loop.

Transport pipes - Corrosion-resistant transport pipe in cross-linked PE-Xa in accordance with EN ISO 15875, with yellow oxygen diffusion barrier in accordance with DIN 4726 for the heating water pipes.

Insulation - Thermal, elastic, CFC-free foam insulation made from cross-linked PE-X with closed microcellular structure. Minimal water absorption capacity of < 1% in accordance with ISO 2896. Insulating PE centrepiece guarantees an effective separation of flow, return, hot water and circulation pipes.

Casing - Corrugated outside casing in HDPE, made in accordance with the closed chamber principle to provide high-grade protection to the piping system.
