The largest sized tank (50 litres) is only 1008mm x 343mm, weighing in at just 16kg so is designed to be easily installed and hidden away. The tank has a mild steel construction with high quality hard thermal insulation and two sturdy mounting brackets (top and bottom).
A buffer tank is designed to add more volume in closed water systems which keeps the temperature in the system at a more consistent level. Stored heat can be immediately accessed without the heat source needing to get up to temperature; this can be very useful for maintaining a constant output and reduces cycling of the compressor units in the heat pump. This in turn reduces the workload on the heat pump making the system more energy efficient and robust and will enhance the longevity of the system. Ultimately this will save the building owner costs on energy bills, repairs and replacements in the long run, in addition to better water temperature control making a small buffer tank a great investment for those considering a heat pump for their project.
